Statement: The CHUQ is a university hospital group which includes three Quebec hospitals. The réseau de la santé au Québec is currently experiencing two dramatic situations: substantial cuts in training and a lack of employees. This means that there is a lack of availability for help with in-class training. Because of the two issues faced by the CHUQ, they decided to turn to online training to solve their problems.

Problem: How to respond to the pressing need for training while minimizing the impact of personnel availability, while reducing training costs and accelerating the sharing of information.

Edu-Performance’s Intervention (Member of the Parta Dialogue Group): Following a call for tender (which we won in 2009), we implemented a content development process to measure e-learning. The production took place at Edu-Performance and the management was lead by the CHUQ. We then implemented an online platform for the management and spread of training, allowing us to answer the needs of the 10,000 employees of the three hospitals. We are now participating in a pilot project to cover the entire Quebec region.
